A prayer to relax as God is leading you
By Alisha Headley
Bible Reading: “Don’t worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for everything he has done. Then you will be the one to us. You will experience God’s peace that is beyond what you can understand. When you live in Christ Jesus, His peace protects your heart and heart.” – Philippians 4:6-7
Listen or read:
I tend to overanalyse everything. Because of this, I don’t always have room to relax, leading to more worries than relaxation or peace.
I’m now walking through a season where there’s something beyond my control and whatever the outcome is, I’m trying to relax. This season has taught me valuable lessons that will help me relax, even if I don’t know it, since God is leading me. Many of us wake up and randomly circulate our days, trying to sprinkle God on the mix of our plans. But as we stop and cherish Jesus, and walk our own path with sincerity, He guides us with soft attention and careful eyes. It is this dependence on Him, not on our circumstances that peace kills our souls.
Today’s Bible poems promise us this. We don’t need to worry. Instead, we can bring everything God needs with a heart-warming attitude. We bring it all to him without worrying about giving us peace that is far beyond what we are trying to understand about our situation. God pays great attention to us with loving details and knows that it brings constant rest to our souls. God is the good shepherd who guides us even when we are not aware. Nothing brings you more rest than knowing that God is leading us. He knows what he’s doing. Let us give us rest and peace as he protects our hearts and hearts today. There is no need to overanalyse every step. We relax because God always guides us.
Let’s pray:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the peace and relaxation. Thank you for not having to worry about this life. We really aren’t. You offer us a worry-free life by praying to us about everything, taking it all to you, and placing it at the foot of the cross. Remind me of today’s Bible-filled moments. Thank you for the peace you have given us and for protecting our hearts and hearts in the process. Thank you for always guiding us. Forgive us in an age where we are more dependent on ourselves than you. With all the details in your palm, I thank you for reminding me today that you don’t need to analyze and think about every single detail of the situation each day and every detail of the situation. You are leading us to every detail. Forgive us an era where we are not sensitive to your readings. We take a deep breath, thank you for being able to relax in your peace without worrying anything. There is no form of peace in this world that cannot even be compared to the peace you give us. We believe that your spirit protects and guides us. Thank you for being able to relax as you are leading us. We love you and thank you for being our good shepherd who cares us deeply.
In your name, we pray, Jesus, Amen.
