Prayer to help celebrate the president of America
By Lynette Kittle

Bible Reading: “First of all, petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving urge that it be made for all. For all, kings and authority, we will all It encourages us to live a peaceful and quiet life in piety and holiness.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Read or listen to the following:

US President’s Day was originally started by the Act of Congress in 1879 for all government offices in Washington, DC, as a celebration of George Washington’s first president of the United States on February 22nd birthday. In 1885, it became a holiday for all federal offices.

In 1971, the Unified Monday Holiday Act moved Washington’s birthday observance to the third Monday of February, increasing the three-day weekend.

Many states also celebrate Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President born on February 12th, and some states celebrate all US presidents.

Some presidential statistics

Various men have served as presidents of the United States for centuries. Prayer and President author and historian William J. Federer provides some interesting presidential statistics

In terms of height, the tallest US president was Abraham Lincoln, who was 6’4 inches, and President James Madison was the shortest fourth president of the 5’4.

Chapter 43: President John F. Kennedy was the youngest elected president in the United States, but after the assassination of the 25th President William McKinley, President Theodore Roosevelt was 42 years old, and the 26th President Theodore Roosevelt was 42 years old. I assumed he was young. President Joe Biden in the 46th is the oldest person to become president at the age of 78.

Sadly, not all US presidents left the White House on his own agreement. Four presidents have died, including 9th President William Henry Harrison, 12th President Zachary Taylor, 29th President Warren G. Harding, and 32nd President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Similarly, four presidents were assassinated, including Abraham Lincoln, 20th President James A. Garfield, President William McKinley and President John F. Kennedy. One president resigned as 37th President Richard M. Nixon.

As Daniel 2:21 explains, God holds his hands on those who have been caught up in leadership in our kingdom. “He changes time and seasons. He deposits kings and raises others. He is wise and gives wisdom to knowledge.

The president who called our nation heads to God

Proverb 8:15 guarantees that God has his hands on those who govern and rule over the earth. “By myself, the king will rule, and the ruler will issue a fair decree.”

Since the creation of the United States, prayers have been recognized and encouraged by many presidents. Starting with his first president, George Washington, he continued to use pocket-sized editions of the Anglican Church’s general prayer book, calling our army and nation. Sometimes it’s a prayer day.

Dr. Jerry Newcombe, executive director of Providence Forum and author of In The Footsteps of Giants, said that during the Revolutionary War, General Washington felt that the odds were superior to them winning, so July 4, 1775 He sent this one year before his independence. His order to the army: “He is not engaged in punctual duty, sacred service, to plead for the blessings of heaven to the means used for our safety and defense. I demand and expect from all officers and soldiers.”

Throughout decades, God has moved through American leaders. “In the hands of the Lord, the king’s heart is a flow of water that leads to all who please him” (Proverbs 21:1).

Our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman, began Prayer Day in 1952 as an annual observance, saying, “In an era of national crisis, where we are striving to strengthen the foundation of peace… They stand in God’s special needs. Support.

President Richard M. Nixon urged the people to pray for the Apollo 13 astronauts who were in crisis in April 1970. After their safe return, he set aside on Sunday, April 19, 1970 as a national day of prayer and Thanksgiving.

President Ronald Reagan, 40th, established the National Prayer Day, held on May 5, 1988, on the first Thursday of May, and stated, “Americans of all ages have turned their eyes to makers in prayer.” …We acknowledged… our dependence on Almighty God.”

Similarly, our 43rd President, George W. Bush, has declared the daily prayer days of terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina since September 11, 2001.

Let’s pray:

Dear Father,

I would like to thank the brave men who served our nation as president. Our hearts are grateful to those who followed your will and called our citizens to pray and guide us.

Lord, help us. Whoever takes office, guide us how to pray for the president.

As Romans 13:7 encourages you, you can help to respect and respect those you have put into leadership, and to all of you, and to all of you what you are doing to them. Give me.

In the name of Jesus.

Amen
