Evangelist Ray Comfort is largely grateful for the safety of his wife and staff after being arrested on suspicion of sneaking into his ministry warehouse.

Comfort told CBN News that he went through a deeply troublesome incident on July 20th when staff members realized something was wrong.
“That afternoon we found one of the executive staff in the ministry’s parking lot staring at his car,” Comfort said. “He was calling the police. Someone tried to break into his car. Anyone who hurts it, couldn’t get into the car.”
Comfort’s wife, Sue, reviewed the surveillance footage and was shocked by what she found.
“The man wearing a hoodie walked onto the property before going to the roof and checking the door,” he said. “When he couldn’t open it, he got out and walked to his car… to try and break into it, and wandered badly into one of our warehouse garages.
The man reportedly did not appear. This means that when she reviewed the footage it was likely he was still inside. Comfort’s team calls police and authorities arrive quickly and guides them to comfort, known as “the straight scene of the movie.”
Comfort said authorities who flocked to the property told him that the man had a knife and barricaded him inside. The nameless individual was reportedly arrested and taken to hospital.
However, another part of the comfortable story is shared. Sue usually heads to the ministry on weekend mornings to prepare for next week’s order. For some reason, she chose not to do that day. I believe comfort is “provisional” because it ensured her safety.
“It was unusual for her to not go to the ministry,” he told CBN News. “So we were grateful to God that her decision wouldn’t go.”
Comfort praised the police for their quick actions and said he certainly didn’t know the man’s motives. Police reportedly informed him that drugs were involved.
Anyway, the evangelists reflected the fears that they often set when events like these unfold, encouraging people to think deeply about God’s purpose for their own lives.
“The Bible says that my steps are commanded by the Lord,” he said. “Therefore, I will never be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I promise God my way, wherever I go, I will be in the right place at the right time.”
He continued, “And I know that whatever happens, it will work for my good. For the great promise of 8:28 to the Romans. It gives me strong daily comfort.”
Pray for the living water, the police and individuals at the heart of this scenario. CBN News contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, but has not yet been responded to it at the time of publication.
