Pastor Gentezen Franklin of Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, was “impressed” by President Donald Trump’s comments and plans surrounding the Gaza Strip, and said he called Trump’s purpose “great.”

Listen to the latest episodes of “Quick Start”

Franklin had mentioned Trump’s announcement on Tuesday when he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would take over the Gaza Strip.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will work with it,” the president said. “We own it and are responsible for dismantling all dangerous mis-explosive bombs and other weapons on the site. We level the site, remove destroyed buildings and level out. Unlimited to local people. Create economic development that supplies jobs and housing for a number of jobs. Do real work. Do something different. You can’t go back.”

If no action was taken, Trump warned that nothing would change in the area and confusion would continue. As for Netanyahu, he confirmed his goal of destroying Hamas during the meeting, releasing hostages and stopping Gaza from becoming a future threat.

Regardless of debate and skepticism among some, Franklin believes Trump’s shocking announcement could lead to a more fruitful future.

“President, I heard it in the national healer,” Franklin said. “‘Do these people not deserve a better life? Not their children – once we return to that place, it’s the zone of death. It’s the zone of destruction.”

He continued. “I personally thought it was great. I… you shot for the moon and if you hit a star, hey, you did something nobody else has done before. ”

Franklin also spoke about Monday’s meeting where he attended with fellow evangelical leaders and Netanyahu. Held before the Prime Minister’s meeting with Trump, Franklin said the rally was “heavy” and “it was a great honor to be part of ().”

“He was very warm,” he said of Netanyahu. “He was so grateful to the Christian community, his Christian friends that they faced so many opposition, especially on the streets of major cities where protesters are screaming for Israel. While doing it, he felt like Israel was facing a great deal of opposition, and all of that.”

Franklin has combined with one leader for more than an hour, and Netanyahu has expressed his “risqué gratitude” to those present in the Christian community’s help after the October 7 terrorist attacks He said.

“He would not believe that without the Christian Church, Israel would exist today,” Franklin said. “And I thought it was a powerful statement.”

Christian support for Israel continues to grow stronger, especially among evangelicals. And the dynamic Franklin who said it’s very important.

“It’s so important that Christians are educated in our spiritual roots,” Franklin said. “My roots are Jewish.”

He continued. “All the new contracts have bases and the old contracts have a type and shadow. You can’t separate the two.”

Of course, there is a biblical duty to bless Israel. In Genesis 12:3 (NIV), God told Abram: “I bless those who bless you, and all people on earth will be blessed through you.”

Franklin said it’s important to understand the meaning of the poem.

“We do not love only the holy land, but the land of Israel where Jesus walked, spoke, lived, born, died, and rose again,” he said. “We love the land, but we are called to love the people of Israel.”

Franklin also shows that support for Israel is shrinking among young evangelicals, statistics show. The preacher told the prime minister he had plans to work with the Jewish National Fund to bring thousands of young Americans to Israel.

“If we can bring young people to Israel, maybe even senior high school years, or just before they go to college, instead of going to the beach and waste it,” he says. Ta. “Pay for a trip. Let’s make it a four-wheeler in Golan Heights. Let it be kayaked down the Jordan River and baptized. Take it to Calvary and receive communion in the tomb in the garden. ”

He believes these activities solidify their faith and help them to better process news stories.
