“Our Messiah is a Jew.”

These are the words of former Pussycat Dolls singer Kaya Jones. After becoming a born-again Christian and dedicating her career to the Lord, she left everything to attend Hebrew Bible School.

Her comments in support of Israel came amid a rise in anti-Semitism in the US and UK, and were taken after the remaining living hostages held by Hamas were reunited with their families in Israel, just before President Donald Trump flew to Egypt, where he signed the Gaza peace deal.

“(God’s) word is perfect,” Jones told CBN News. “So either we believe it, or we call God a liar. And my God is not a liar. He is true in all his promises. The house of Jacob will be completely restored, and we are a part of it. We are a big part of it. We need to be the scent of Messiah, so that our brothers and sisters in the nations who do not know God may see God.”

She went on to say that Israel and Jews are “a big part of the roots of this tree” of Christianity.

“We cannot afford to have amnesia right now and forget where we came from,” Jones continued. “Our Messiah is Jewish, and every part of our tradition, the Christian Bible and tradition, is quilted with the seed of Abraham. It’s very important that we understand that.”

Jones, who just released his debut Christian album, The Royal Collection, also questioned the biblical literacy of social media influencers who have used their influence to criticize and demonize Israel.

These comments came as people like podcaster Candace Owens called Israel a “satanic state.”

Speaking with fellow podcast host Tucker Carlson, Owens said, “Everything they’re doing is satanic. I want nothing to do with it. I will never support Israel in the future. … I don’t support Israel, and I don’t think Jewish Americans should support Israel.”

“I often hear these influential people making statements that are hostile to the state of Israel, and I wonder where their theology really lies,” Jones said. “Where did they get this idea? Did they just dive deep into the internet or are they following the teachings of the Bible? Because Jesus is clear.”

The pop star referenced the Apostle Paul’s writing in Romans 11:17-18 (New Translation of the Bible), writing:

But some of these branches of the tree of Abraham, some of the people of Israel, were broken off. And you Gentiles who were branches of the wild olive tree were grafted in. So you too are now receiving the blessings God promised to Abraham and his children and sharing in the rich nourishment of the roots of God’s special olive tree. But don’t brag about having been grafted in place of a broken branch. You are just a branch, not a root.

Jones, a Canadian-born American, warned non-Jewish Christians against divorcing the state of Israel, which they believe God will restore.

She also said that both President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have “thankless” jobs and called on Christians to pray for them because “they certainly carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.”

“I’m very proud of President Trump,” she said, referring to the deal he brokered between Israel and Gaza. “We needed to bring these people home, and the war needed to end. The war is coming to an end, and we’re grateful. If it bothers people to say, ‘Thank you,’ when it’s about peace, then there’s something wrong with us. No matter what side of the aisle you sit on, peace should be for the whole world. We want peace.”

You can listen to the full interview with Jones in the video above. We talked about her testimony, baptism, how to make Christian music, and more.
