President Donald Trump praised Elon Musk for his pivotal role in leading what he called “the most drastic and consequential government reform program of a generation.”
At the address of the recent oval office, Trump believed that Musk and the Government’s Department of Efficiency (DOGE) had revealed a wide range of waste and revealed federal government-wide modernization efforts.
“Elon has worked tirelessly to lead the most drastic and consequential government reform program of a generation,” Trump said. “He brought in a group of very clever people and they found something incredible.”

This press conference with the two leaders comes after White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt reveals Doge’s successor.
According to a conservative summary, Levitt said “the entire Cabinet is involved,” and “the entire Cabinet understands the need to reduce government waste, fraud and abuse, and each Cabinet Secretary of each agency is committed to it.”
During a press conference with Musk, Trump noted significant cost-saving achievements during the billionaire businessman’s 134-day tenure as a special government employee. These included canceling unnecessary contracts, modernizing an outdated system, and taking root in what Trump described as “incredibly bad” spending.
The Musk’s Doge team reportedly identified more than $160 billion in savings so far, with forecasts likely to exceed $200 billion.

“For example, Doge cancelled $101 million due to a Department of Education’s DEI contract,” Trump noted. “$59 million in an illegal alien hotel room in New York City. $45 million for a Burma DEI scholarship. $8 million to make mouse transgender.”
Trump emphasized that these discoveries were just the beginning. “We’ve found quite a few, but they’ll become very important over time,” he said. “The numbers will be doubled and tripled.”
Trump praised Musk’s courage despite the global business success of Musk, saying that Musk “loves our country and is willing to accept outrageous abuse, lies, lies and attacks.” He said, “Elon served incredible ways. There was nothing like him.”
