In a recent interview with CBN News, a senior research analyst (camera) from the Middle East Report and Analysis (camera) Accuracy Committee issued a warning.
“Iran has sleepers in the US and I’ve had them for many years,” Darns said. “This is an important element of the administration’s three-dimensional technology. They use it to threaten the opposition, harass and in some cases kill them.”
Fearful Bonds and Foreign Plots
Darns explained that the tactic is not new to the Islamic Republic. The Islamic Republic’s strategy of using secret agents dates back to the Islamic revolution in 1979. “Since its creation, they have used Sleeping Cell, Iranian operatives on foreign soil, and critics of murder and haras,” he said.

He cited a horrifying historical example. “Perhaps Germany’s most notorious in the early 1990s, when there were groups of Iranian Kurdish dissidents killed in a Greek restaurant. This was a major scandal at the time…and it was being exiled by Iranian ambassadors at the time.”
Spying and terrorism in US soils
Addressing the nature of these sleeper cells, Dern said, “It’s both. They do spy. That’s absolutely what the sleeper does. They work with terrorist groups.”
He continued, “Iran is the highest national sponsor of terrorism. Perhaps the most infamous Hezbollah has its own external security equipment… Iran is available.”
Derns also stated that recent developments include: “There are people associated with the administration that spyed on U.S. bases in the UK. This was only discovered last week.”
US crackdown and the “Midnight Hammer”
In light of recent US airstrikes that destroyed Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, many have questioned why sleep cells are not retaliating. According to Darns, the rapid action by the Trump administration helped prevent the possibility of an attack.
“The FBI was warned over the weekend shortly after the US airstrikes, and so was the DHS. “Some of them have ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Security Forces Corps, some of which were found to be illegally carrying weapons suspected of being terrorists.”

He confirmed, “These are people who lived in American soil for years.”
Strength is important in the Middle East
When asked about the importance of projecting strength, Darn was clear. “Weakness is provocative. It’s always the case with foreign policy, and that’s certainly true in the Middle East,” he said. “We believe that there is an administration that has an administration that is actively acting to counteract this threat.”
He said, “Kindness is alien to the Islamic Republic and its operatives. These are tyrants. These are bullies. And they respond like most bullies.
We have advantages
While acknowledging Iran’s skills in terrorism and asymmetric warfare, Darns dismissed traditional military power. “Iran is an actor who excels in terrorism. They are not traditional military forces. Their traditional military is at best slander.”

“The power rests on us, and what we lacked was will, but in this administration it is no longer the case,” he concluded.
