For leaders

Publicly share your unit’s events: When you create a unit calendar event, such as a ward activity, you now have the option to make the event public on your unit’s web page for your church friends to see. With this update, you can now easily share your activities with others. Child and Youth Protection Training Report: Stake and ward leaders can view member training status so they can easily see which members have completed child and youth protection training for their callings. Displaying and Recording Governmental Credentials: Bishoprics, stake presidencies, and secretaries may display and record government credentials as required by Church policy for those working with children and youth. Recording and updating callings: Enables stake and ward leaders to act quickly. Record and update members’ callings.

Mobile Temple Recommends: Members can now access temple recommends from their mobile devices. New tiles highlighted: When new tiles become available due to updates or call changes, they appear at the bottom of your home screen and are highlighted in yellow for easy viewing. Family section of the profile: Contains a list of the names of the user’s parents and children. This information is visible only to the household’s primary contacts, bishoprics, and stake presidencies. New Activity Sharing tile: Users are taken to a page in Word where they can see public events and easily share event details with friends. New “Online Giving” tile: Users can go directly to an online web page to make donations, such as tithes and fast offerings, or view previous donations. Selecting a unit to refer a friend to a missionary: When submitting a referral form, members can choose from a list of wards that their friend can join, ensuring that the referral reaches the missionary. Payment requests for all adults: Adult members can submit refund requests by tapping (Finance) then (Payment requests).

Gospel app for kids

Gospel for Kids is a gospel learning app for kids with illustrated scripture stories, coloring books, songs, and more.

New games and activities: Includes interactive dot-to-dot pictures, coloring pages, “find it” games, and mazes. Most activities can also be printed for use at home or at church. Play-along piano keyboard feature: Helps children interact and become more familiar with the songs they hear in church. New interface and navigation focused on the Covenant Path: Shows how elements of Christ’s doctrine and themes such as faith, repentance, baptism, the Holy Spirit, the sacrament, and the temple can help people draw closer to Jesus Christ. Updated Content: Includes updated Bible story videos. New topical collections: Organize content by topic to teach children about the doctrines of Christ.

book of mormon app

The Book of Mormon app makes it easy for Latter-day Saints to share Book of Mormon teachings wherever they are. Here, friends can engage with sacred texts through readings, audio, and video features, and connect directly with missionaries.

Improved sharing experience: Users can now include personal testimonials when sharing the Book of Mormon app. The first time your friend opens a link in your app, their testimonial will appear, making the sharing experience more meaningful for both parties. Ability to display two languages side by side. Improved audio listening experience. Ability to select file size when downloading videos. Integration with Apple CarPlay.

FamilySearch Tree App

FamilySearch Tree makes it easy and convenient for users to find and document their own branches of family trees around the world while preserving family memories such as photos, written stories, and audio recordings.

New guided tree experience: Guide new users through building their family tree. Once the information is added, the app checks the FamilySearch database for potential matches and connections. New Native Search: Provides faster, smoother access to historical records, memories, and ancestors. All in one seamless native search experience on the app. Group Family Tree: Users can share, add, and change information about living family members in a secure, shared family group tree. Name Verification: Users can quickly verify names in historical records by reviewing what the computer finds and flagging errors. Each corrected name is a person whose living family can be found. Location Verification: Users can help standardize location names within recorded events. Standardizing place names makes records easier to search and ensures rituals are available to people on family trees.

Facility Problem Report (FIR)

The FIR app allows leaders to report maintenance and repair issues outside of normally scheduled maintenance visits.

Users can choose the reason for their dissatisfaction when providing feedback.

Other changes

Family Tree Lite is discontinued: Family Tree Lite was originally a FamilySearch application designed for phones with small screens and limited functionality. FamilySearch has discontinued the Lite application because nearly all users now access FamilySearch Family Tree on more advanced mobile phones and other devices. The Sacred Music app will be retired in early January 2026. The Sacred Music app is integrated with the Gospel Library to provide a unified experience.
