The family story was also shared in the 2014 film, Bulpo was only three years ago in 2003 when his appendix burst in 2003 and later claimed he had experienced another world.
Today, Bullpo is 25 years old and his life has many powerful turns. He is a married man, an electrician and worship pastor, and his wife gave birth to the couple’s first child last month.
“(I) got married for three years in July,” he told CBN News. “I’m ready to be my first dad.”
Brupo also speaks to an audience who shares for his “Heaven is a real” journey, travels, travels, visits heaven and meets Jesus. It’s a process he’s gone through for quite some time since he began sharing with his parents as a young person.
Watch Burpo share his story:
Over time he felt that God was calling him to call him and deepen his faith beyond his heavenly stories, including his profession. As a pastor’s child, Brupo never imagined he would work in the church, but that’s exactly where God took him today.
“I remember in high school, when God really started to challenge me. “And it took me a while to get to that point. But as you see now, I take my faith very seriously.”
Brupo seems astoundingly stunned by the glamour and charm that emerged from books and films about his stories, explaining how faith remains at the heart of everything he does.
“Faith was very core to me, obviously because if I didn’t live my life to give Jesus the glory and honor of what I’m doing, it really is not worth it,” he said.
Bulpo revisited the tragic experience at the age of three, when a ruptured appendix took his life after a misdiagnosis and subsequent emergency surgery.
“During that first surgery, it was when I had my near-death experience and I remember lifting it out of my body,” he said. “I was looking down. I saw the doctor. They were working for me. My mother, I saw her in one room. She seemed to be talking to people on the phone.
Brupo continued, “And now I was getting weird. I didn’t know what was going on. Then I was sitting on Jesus’ lap and he sang to me to calm me down.”
From there, Burpo said he had visited heaven. This is an experience I have been sharing with people over the past 20 years. As you can imagine, the story shocked and intrigued his parents Todd and Sonja. When details appeared, they began to believe in their son’s story.
One of the most compelling stories surrounding the heaven of Burpo was the concept he met in heaven, where he died in his mother’s womb.
“Essentially, I met my sister who had a miscarriage before I was born,” he said. “And she was actually one of the first people I’ve met in heaven. …This little girl ran out and gave me a hug of this huge old bear.”
He continued. “In the end, she told me who she was. She was my sister and she was so excited that someone from her family was finally in heaven.”
Brupo said the story gave hope to many who lost their children and experienced deep sadness.
“To know that they are in heaven and waiting for you – that’s really comforting,” he said.
Regarding Burpo’s own journey, he said that his heavenly story “sets the foundations” of his faith.
“It was interesting to wrestletter and grasp it just because I went to heaven and came back, not that I was free from temptation or sin,” he said. “I’m far from it, and God thankfully was faithful and patient with me.”
Brupo said he believes that the Lord helped shape him into what he is today. See his story above for more details. And do you want more miracles like this? Stream “Supernatural: Miracles,” CBN’s new documentary on powerful medical miracles. Leave a trailer:
