The Federal Aviation Administration ordered air traffic halts at four Florida airports Thursday after the SpaceX rocket broke during launch.
Politics has suspended flights to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Orlando as a precaution from the possible debris caused by the explosion.
The ground stop lasted about 50 minutes, according to the outlet.
Videos of the explosion, filmed by people in the Bahamas, were circulating on social media.

SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, revealed that the eighth test of a spacecraft rocket launched from Bocachica, Texas, was destroyed during the ascent.
“The vehicle experienced rapid, unplanned demolition and lost contact,” SpaceX said.
“Our team immediately began coordinating with safety personnel to implement pre-planned emergency response,” the company added.
“To better understand the root cause, we review data from today’s flight tests. As always, success comes from what we’ve learned, and today’s flights offer additional lessons to improve the reliability of our Starship.”
“Rapid Unplanned Decomposition” is the second such incident from a spacecraft, a giant rocket intended for SpaceX to use for its lunar missions and trips to Mars.
The final spaceship was lost on January 16th, prompting the FAA to ask the office to investigate the accident.
The FAA lifted the launch ban last week, allowing the company to carry out more testing while the investigation continues.
A separate accident report will be required for the release on Thursday.
“We will work with the FAA to carry out a thorough investigation and implement corrective actions to improve future spacecraft flight testing,” SpaceX said in a statement, according to NBC News.

Contact with the spacecraft was lost within 10 minutes of lift-off.
Some engines appeared to have broken down about 8 minutes before the flight. This is the same time frame when the previous crashes began to occur.
SpaceX communications manager Dan Huot said during the launch webcast, “It’s clear that we won’t continue with the rest of today’s mission.”
SpaceX revealed that debris from the destroyed ship falls into the designated “debris response area.”
Materials from rockets are non-toxic and do not expect any significant costs for marine life and water safety.
