Logan, Utah – The evening word was “witness.”
On Sunday, February 23rd, to the thousands of people sitting within Utah State’s Deaglen Smith spectrum, Elder Neil L. Andersen, a quorum of 12 Apostles, saw and heard witnesses in personal experience. , explained that you can also know.
“An eyewitness establishes the truth and helps others strengthen their beliefs,” Elder Andersen said.
He taught Joseph Smith the life and mission of his people through the words and testimony of many witnesses, and bored him.
“I would like to share my witnesses tonight and many other witnesses that the Lord has given us to strengthen our assurance that he called and inspired the Prophet Joseph Smith. I’m grateful for that,” he said.
Elder Andersen accompanied Sister Cathy Andersen, the wife of Young Adult Prayer throughout the Cash Valley, hosted by the Logan Institute of Religion.
Book of Mormon
Elder Andersen said that one of the strongest and most persuasive physical witnesses of Joseph Smith’s sacred calling was the Book of Mormon. He cited several witnesses, including three and eight witnesses, Prophet Nephi and President Russell M. Nelson.
“The Book of Mormon is concrete and unrefutable evidence of Joseph Smith’s positive designation as a prophet of his distribution,” President Nelson said at the 2021 Mission Leader Seminar.

Elder Andersen invited the audience and recited one Nephi 3:7 with him. “These words and a thousand other people have come into my heart like fire,” he said. “I know they are true.”
Elder Andersen also read Joseph and Hiram Smith, who had read from the Book of Mormon before he died in Carthaginian prison, and had lifted up copies of them that day. The brothers died proclaiming the truth behind the Book of Mormon.
“I will witness you by the power of the Holy Spirit, who knows that the Book of Mormon is God’s Word today,” Elder Andersen said. To assure us that Jesus is Christ. ”
To get to know Joseph

Anyone who personally knew Joseph Smith is a witness to his goodness. Elder Andersen cited Brigham Young, John Taylor, Eliza R. Snow, Parley P. Pratt, and others.
“I testify in front of God, angels and men that (Joseph) was a good, honorable (and) noble man… (and) his private and public character is condemned. What he couldn’t do, and that he lived and died as a man of God,” said Taylor, the third president of the church.
Men and women studying Joseph Smith’s life can be grateful for his goodness. The renowned Christian and NAACP leader, Pastor Amos Brown, spoke at the Washington, DC Temple Open House, praised the Prophet’s efforts to run for President of the United States on a platform to abolish slavery.
“He is a great supporter of Joseph Smith,” Elder Andersen said.
The Facts of Joseph’s Mission
Showing a slide depicting delicious fruit, Elder Andersen read the Savior’s words from the New Testament. …A good tree cannot bring evil fruits, nor can decay trees produce good fruits” (Matthew 7:16, 18).
“Inspired by the heaven planted by the Prophet Joseph Smith and cultivated by thousands of people, the Gospel trees now reconstructed are in a beautiful array,” Elder Andersen said. “The Church of Jesus Christ, the Latter-day Saints, is the fruit of God’s restoration, and the fruit is very good.”

Elder Andersen also cited scholars and others who were not affiliated with the church that studied the fruit. One example is the unified Methodist pastor Kenda Creece Dean.
The final witness
Elder Andersen’s testimony is partly constructed by experience in the field of church history, but he said that each person can know himself through the power of the Holy Spirit.
He then gave birth to his own witness.
“Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the truthfulness of the Spirit’s voice, I know that the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, appeared to the Prophet Joseph Smith. …I have restored the Gospel and we I know that I was called to prepare people for the return of Jesus Christ of the Savior,” Elder Andersen said. “He is the one we assert him. I have witnessed the prophet Joseph Smith that Jesus is Christ.”
