Serena was only 14 years old and never even kissed the boy when a man persuaded her to send her nude pictures or videos of herself.

She fell into depression and attempted suicide after content was seen on PornHub and uploaded to the site over and over again.

When she was 19, Serena connected with longtime supporter, Laila Mickelwaite, after watching a video of the girl’s abuse online. Mickelwait has released an alert video featuring the girl’s face. This allowed the two to connect to help remove content from the porn hub.

“(Serena’s story) could be a story of anyone’s children, and I just realized it was a horrifying idea, but it really burned my fight even more,” Mickelwaite said. He spoke to Christian Post in an interview about Takedown, the latest memoir. Closes porn hubs for child abuse, rape and sex trafficking.

Serena’s story is one of many cases Mickelwaite quotes in her pornhub book. A book on child sexual abuse and rape distribution and monetization.

Mickelwait allows her to follow through her quest to retain Pornhub, the parent company Aylo (formerly Mind Geek), responsible for distributing videos depicting sexual abuse.

From publishing abuse videos to putting pressure on credit card companies to cutting relationships with Pornhub, the founder of TrafficKingHub Movement has a strategy to get to your toes from the billion-dollar porn website Pornhub and toe-toe We share.

Another case cited in the book is the case of a 15-year-old girl who was missing for over a year before a user of pornhub told the girl’s mother that he recognized the woman’s daughter on the site. .

The mother discovered over 50 videos uploaded to Pornhub by a user named “Daddy’s_slut” that showed her daughter being raped. As Mickelwait said in the book, minor attacks were monetized with ads, allowing over 100 million users to pay to download the content.

As an advocate who has fought issues like human trafficking for over 15 years, Mickelwaite said she has always had a heart for her children.

“I thought it was important for them to go on this journey with me so that people could care about this,” Mickelwaite told CP.

“We understand the discovery journey to meet victims, whistleblowers, how this company works, and the devastating trauma that it causes victims,” she added. “Hopefully by the end of the story, they could be as passionate about finishing this as I did, mobilizing an army of activists to take this to the next level. ”

Her efforts to mobilize the public against sexual crimes have led to a movement consisting of diverse groups of people, including those working in the porn industry. Mickelwaite said she regularly stays in touch with porn producers and performers.

The change she is looking for is regulations supported by people in the porn industry, including validating age and consent on porn sites generated by all users. In her book she reveals that she wants to abolish sex trafficking and online sex crimes, not the legal porn industry.

“When we’re taking abuse and criminal organizations so big, people come together and whether it’s their religion or lack of religion, or it’s their political ideology, they It’s important to put aside the differences,” Mikelwaite said. “Because it’s a human rights issue. It’s not the right issue or the left issue. It’s not just a matter of Christians.”

Throughout the book, Mickelwaite introduces her role as advocate and mother. In one section, she rocked her young son one night in the darkness of her bedroom, and her thoughts turned to a story she read about a missing girl in Florida a few days after her son’s birth.

She emphasized that anyone who cares about her child can take action on the issue, but Mickelwaite said that mothering is a sympathy for the abused children she has learned through her work. He pointed out that it appears to be elevated.

“When I thought about the fact that these exploited children could become my children a few years later, I think it really took me to another level, she said.

However, taking on a large company is not without emotional consequences.

Mickelwait is transparent with readers about the stress of dealing with doxing and overlaying faces on graphic images. However, in a moment of emotional confusion, the advocates think about the victims of the pornhub, and she turns to God as well.

“I have a strong faith and belief in God,” she said. “My spiritual side has played an important role in keeping me grounded and helping me continue to move forward.”

Another inspiration for Mickelwaite was her father who raised her when she needed it, and she frequently mentions it in her books. Her dad is a general vascular surgeon and died in 2014 after suffering a heart attack.

Mickelwaite stands at his father’s grave after the funeral and says he vows to bring justice to abuse the victim.

“He was just a great father and the reason I’m doing this job today,” Mickelwaite said.
