Next is the prayer text provided by Elder Patrick Caeron, a quorum of 12 Apostles, to offer the Auckland New Zealand Temple on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our dear Father in Heaven, we thank many of our blessings and the Auckland New Zealand Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on this wonderful day when we gather to offer this.
We express our deep gratitude to gather in this beautiful land among your daughters and those sons of deep faith. We are grateful for the dedication of those who helped establish your church here and the many others who made this day possible.
We want to express our gratitude to you for your son Jesus Christ, who loves you and has attained for our sins.
We are grateful to be able to worship and gather freely.
We are gathering to offer your home as an expression of our faith, love and gratitude.
By the keys of the Holy Apostolic Order and the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, I now offer you and your beloved son for the sacred purpose of the Auckland New Zealand Temple. We dedicate it to the foundation from its spires and roof. We offer baptism, altars, sacred rooms where ordinances are made and covenants are made.
We dedicate all the support systems and services that control the structure of the temple and the climate, electricity, audiovisual and other systems.
We offer the ground where the temple and associated buildings stand.
We are grateful for reminding you of your love for your children, and ask you to watch over this sacred building and protect you from the unfavourable powers of nature.
I pray that everyone who enters here will have a deeper understanding of your plan of happiness. We pray that our workers and patrons will feel your love and compassion. We pray that their faith will be strengthened and that they will feel your peace and your joy.
Bless the temple presidency, Matron and her assistants, and all those who serve your holy home. We pray that they are given love, wisdom and stamina to play their sacred roles.
Give us a deeper understanding of the attendees today and everyone who comes here, your love, your plan of salvation, the role of sanctification of ordinances and covenants.
We pray that our young people will come here to rejoice in being blessed and serving and being blessed with light and spiritual fortitude. We pray that they deepen their faith so that they serve.
Bless your loneliness, those who mourn, those who are lost, and those whose hopes are fading. Help them to receive your love more fully and experience the ablessings of your son Jesus Christ. I pray they see themselves as your child.
Thank you to the restoration and the prophet Joseph. We thank the Prophet line for making him successful and continuing to serve your children.
We are grateful for your son and his tone’s sin, and through him we may live forever with you and our loved ones.
This, your home stands as a sacred symbol of your love for your children and your love for you. It is a house of joy, and may be a beacon of light for those who come in and everyone who sees it.
Thank you for these blessings and all the other blessings that are extended by you.
We express our love and gratitude to you and your son, and offer this prayer of devotion in the sacred name of your son, Jesus Christ, Amen.
