Now we are used to the fact that government secrets are more strangers than fiction, but even the most seasoned plot watchers may frown at this.
Recently declassified CIA documents reveal that in 1988 the agency attempted to use spiritual spies to find the Ark of the Covenant, one of the most sacred and mystical relics in human history.
As reported in the Jerusalem Post, the effort was part of a classification project known as Sunstreak, a Cold War-era experiment of “remote bouncers.” In this particular experiment, subjects identified as remote viewer No. 032 were asked to describe unknown targets. A target unknown to viewers was the Ark of the Ark.
And what they explained is enough to make Indiana Jones sweat.

“The target is a container. The container contains another container inside it,” according to the New York Post, Remote Viewer No. 032. They continued to describe the object as wooden and gold-gold, decorated with six winged angel figures resembling a biblical box. Viewers were even hidden in “underground, dark and wet.”
But that doesn’t stop there. The remote viewer recognized the supernatural protection on the ark and warned that anyone who attempted inappropriately would be “destroyed by the container guardians by forces unknown to us.”
It is some serious Old Testament energy.
Perhaps even more curious, Remote Viewer No. 032 described an Arabic-speaking individual in white clothing, explaining the visual impression of the mosque’s dome near the hidden location.
According to the insider paper, this suggests that the artifact could be somewhere in the Middle East. It is probably under a modern mosque.
Viewers also argued that the Ark’s purpose was to “connect people,” and, according to Metro, tied it to themes such as “ceremonies, memories, resurrections” and “historical knowledge far beyond what we know.”
It’s not your everyday government Intel report.
For those unfamiliar, the Ark of the Covenant is said to have been built by the Israelites in the 13th century BC, and housed stone tablets with ten commandments engraved on them.
According to the Bible, it lived in the temple of Jerusalem until it mysteriously disappeared during the Babylonian conquest in 586 BC.

Over the centuries, countless theories have emerged. Some claim that the Ark is smuggled into Ethiopia and is resting today at St. Mary’s Church in Zion. Others refer to various secret locations in Africa and the Middle East. In 2018, the US-based group claimed they discovered it in a remote African church, but most researchers quickly dismissed the claim as unfounded.
The declassified CIA document also includes all the strange and fascinating sketches created by the remote viewer during the session. These visuals are only added to the mystery surrounding the possible location of the Ark.
What is particularly noteworthy is how all of this is tied to the current event. With increasing interest in Temple Mount by Jews trying to pray there again, things seem to be moving forward with the recent introduction of red heifers to Israel, an important requirement of the ritual of cleansing necessary to rebuild the Third Temple, things seem to be moving forward with the full steam at the end. The work is rapidly aligned with biblical prophecies, and the re-emergence of the story surrounding the Ark of the Covenant can be more than just coincidence.
It is not just a fascinating footnote in Cold War history, but another sign of the path that many believe will lead directly to the fulfillment of the Bible.
