Morning prayers to brighten up our day
By: Lynette Kittle
Bible reading: “He is like the morning light of a sunrise on a cloudless morning; like the brightness after the rain brings grass from the earth” – 2 Samuel 23:4
Read or listen to the following:
Even Christians experience times in the morning when they feel there is no good reason to get out of bed. He supplies the truth to brighten up the day for everyone who believes in him.
In winter, when darkness covers more time, stormy moons seem to never end for weeks or months at a time. Christians may find themselves struggling to overcome another day.
But even on the darkest days, the sunrise every morning is a reminder of who God is and the brightness that He brings to us. As Psalm 36:9 explains, “Along with you, a fountain of life; in your light we see the light.”
He brings light and brightness to our lives every day. Jesus shines, so we have a reason to leave bed every morning, so we don’t have to search for somewhere else in the world to motivate us.
Jesus is our bright morning star
Many believers of Christ have an unclear understanding of God’s character, often influenced by the Dark Lords depicted in films and books, but God is dark and not despairing, and holds us down.
Rather, as a record of Revelation 22:16, he is far from the darkness. I am the root and descendant of David, a bright morning star. ”
Jesus has no darkness. As Revelation 21:23 reveals, in heaven, “The city does not need to make the sun or moon shine; for the glory of God gives light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”
Every day, Jesus shines brightly like a bright morning star. He does so, we are also given the opportunity to shine, regardless of the daily circumstances and circumstances.
Transformed by the light of Jesus
During Jesus’ transformation into the earth, we can get a glimpse of the shining light from him. “He transformed before them; his face glowed like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:2).
As 2 Corinthians 4:6 explains, “For God who said, “Let the light shine out of the darkness,” let His light shine in our hearts, and give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory, as shown in the face of Christ. ”
When Jesus shines brightly, His light changes us from within. Ephesians 5:8 explains: I live as a child of light. ”
Called to live as a child of light
As a child of light, Jesus reminds us when we rise in the morning. “You are the light of the world; the city built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
Being in Jesus means that we are called to make His light shine to us. “In the same way, let your light shine before others; they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Even on days that seem boring and dark, or if darkness should cover the whole earth, we will make His light shine through us and through us, guide and guide life. “When Jesus spoke to the people again, he said, “I am the light of the world; and whoever follows me will not walk in the darkness, but I have the light of life” (John 8:12).
Let’s pray:
Dear Father, we praise you, Lord, we are Jesus, our bright morning stars, and we will shine light in our hearts from the darkness of this world. Every day, we fill our mouths, witness and experience Jesus’ brightness shining through the morning sunrise, and it is raining that nourishes our planet. Let us brighten our days as we look to Him every day, and let you shine brightly through us, and let you glorify. His light shines through us, reach out and encourage those around us, who are captured in the darkness. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
