Unshakable prayer
By Meg Bucher
Bible Reading:
“We receive an unshakable kingdom, so let us thank and please us by worshiping God with holy fear and adoration. -Hebrews 12:28-29 NLT
Listen or read:
Unshakable strength, gratitude, grace, forgiveness, acceptance, all other human abilities are impossible for us to support. The truth is that God needs strong, grateful, graceful, tolerant, accepting, and all other human abilities. To live the way he designed us, we need to lean on him.
“There is a huge difference between candle flames and the explosion of the roaring forest fire,” the Bible of the NLT Life Application states, “You can’t even stand near a fierce fire. Even with sophisticated fire equipment, avid fires often get furious beyond human control. But temporary, sinful, incomplete, or destructive, devoured by the fire of his wrath.
Only God is unshakable. But the good news is, in Christ we are righteous. Our miracle of salvation is grace and forgiveness. Honestly, God should inspire us to be grateful and we cannot fall into the desolate fire that this world is thrust upon us.
Let’s pray:
father,
You are a passionate fire. We worship you with holy fear and adoration. Understand the meaning of living in proper expressions and sacred fear and true humility. Give us the gift of understanding who you are. God, we are grateful for your strength. You promise to strengthen us. thank you! You promise to work all things for our good. thank you! Your promises are God’s solid, unlike the hopes and wishes we often entertain in this world. Your words are lamps to guide the light for our feet and our paths. thank you! Without your wisdom, we will be shaken by every opportunity the world must stab our armor and shake our faith. Help us understand what it means to thank God. Give us unwavering faith in Christ Jesus when we seek your will in our lives. There are many promises I thank God. Thank you for listening to our prayers and answering them. God, if we care about it, you promise… you care about it! The prophet Isaiah wrote:
“I will answer them before they call me. I will answer their prayers while they still talk about their needs!” – Isaiah 65:24 NLT
Thank you, God for providing us with our daily needs. You know our daily numbers and you are faithful to support us through each and every one of us. For this truth, we can be grateful in every situation! The world’s concerns do not have the power to us in Christ Jesus. We stop to pray for all those who deal with the very real illness of the mind that causes anxiety and worries. We pray for their perfect healing and God. And for those of us who suffer from the sins of worry that are different from anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses, it helps us to know you better so that we can trust you more. The apostle Paul said, “Everything God has created is good, so we should not reject it, but accept it in gratitude, because we know that we can be accepted by God and the words of prayer” (1 Timothy 4:4-5 NLT).
God, you will work everything for our good, so the blessings that will rain on our lives are endless. Blessings We do not always recognize them as blessings. A literal miracle, a blessing. Offering, talent, community, friends, family blessings… God, there is no limit to our lives to blessings. 1 Chronicle 17:34 reads: “Thank you to the Lord, He is good! His faithful love will endure forever” (NLT). Father, help us pray in a way that allows us to express our needs to communicate what we need to you. Give us a gift of pure praise, God, God. Psalm 7:17 sings, “Thank you to the Lord, because He is just; I praise His name the highest” (NLT). When our hearts sing, we pray for many moments. (2 Corinthians 9:15 NLT)
Father, connect us to those who have placed us very intentionally in our lives. Small groups, Bible studies, and places to serve in local churches. Friends, family and our community. But we are especially grateful to our fellow followers in life. Help them grow in our faith and walk with us in the life that Jesus brings. You promise that it’s not easy. There is pain in this fallen sinful world we cannot escape from. Help us cling to the harsh reality of sin in the world, God, and those you have given us. Father, we pray for a Christ-centered friendship. Because we know that they provide relief and encouragement to inspire us in the days when they were threatened with stealing our attention from God’s goodness and the precious love of Jesus. Father, we don’t understand how people are following the fire of life without Jesus. Help us maintain gratitude for everything you promised to do in our lives. we love you.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.
