Prayer for grandchildren to walk the truth

Bible Reading:
“But the mercer of the Lord will be from eternal to eternity to those who fear him, and from righteousness to those who fear him, and to his children, to maintain his covenant, and to those who remember his commandments, to eternally flaunting righteousness to those who remember his commandments.” – Psalm sal 103:17-18

What a blessing to have grandchildren, knowing that your lines will continue, and having someone hand over your legacy and values. Many grandparents, those who trust Christ, want more than convey their legacy, values and names. They want their grandchildren to walk to the truth. The Bible says that those who are faithful to his covenant and who follow God’s commands will carry on the truth of their salvation for their children. Grandparents, there’s work you need to do. Live the truth, share the truth, become true. Jesus is the way, the truth, and life. You cannot go to your father through him. This is something they need to hear. I remember a time when I sat down and listened to my grandmother. She was not a Christian for most of her life, but she gave the best advice. If she could share what God taught her throughout her life as she grew up, then I could imagine if she could share what she taught her. Spend time with your grandparents and think about what you wanted when you produced it for your grandchildren. What a blessed peace and assurance will come when your grandchildren walk through the truth and when your grandchildren reach the point of their lives. There is a blessing to witness fruit in their lives and convey wisdom to help them to be based on their faith in God. Tell them about how God answered your prayers and tell them his goodness, grace, and mercy. Your faithfulness will be transferred to them, due to the life you lived before them and how you speak about your God.
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love that remains forever. Thank you for expanding your salvation to our children if we walk faithfully and follow your commands. I bring my grandson before you today and ask them to continue walking in your truth. If they don’t trust you yet, make sure they get to know you. Just as they are leaders and not believers, they love the Lord and their neighbors, and as they are those who use to tell their companions, “follow me when I follow Christ.” Thank you for making me my grandparents. It is one of the greatest blessings of my life. May my grandson ask thee, Lord, for wisdom like Solomon. May they see the world and shed light so that it becomes salty as they grow and mature. Encourage them to pray and read by not only telling them, but by continuing to live my recommendations and advice. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
