One of the gifts of spirits is the gift of prophecy. The New Testament is full of stories about prophecies. Paul foretold his own arrest, and he teaches the early church that they must test prophecies.
Modern Pentecostal/charismatic renewal has brought back the gift revival and the prophetic movement has developed over the past few decades. Men like Bishop Bill Hammon and the late Peter Wagner were well known for teaching us about prophecy and importance in church life.
In my new book’s spirit-driven life in an upside down world, I have an entire chapter on this, citing examples of how modern prophets have made a huge difference. I also tell some stories about where I prophesied the prophecy or where I saw it come true. One was Kim Clement’s prophecy that someone like Donald Trump will be elected president in two terms. My book God and Donald Trump were my efforts to document the prophecies that came to fruition during the 2016 Trump election.
But it is a false prophecy that is mixed with the exact prophecy, or I would say I am a false prophecy. These false prophets were always with us. Jesus even warned about the wolves in sheep’s clothes. Paul warned the early church against false prophets. But who will warn Christians today?
There are few leaders who are willing to speak at our time, especially in the charismatic movement. They streamline the false prophecy lies outside their circle and outside the realm of authority. Or they have a “living and living” attitude that is a very American way of looking at things, but that is hardly biblical when it comes to false prophecies.
My longtime friend Mario Muriro is one of the few who said it was enough. He has been criticized for losing his friend and calling for a prophet who says he is wrong.
This is especially true of Trump and prophecies that he says will be re-elected. I believe he won the election, and I’ve probably heard from the Lord that people like Kim Clement, who said he would win the second term over a decade ago. But the truth is, our system has Joe Biden in the White House. But there are honest but misguided Trump enthusiasts.

Then there is another type of prophecy that is not by a “false prophet,” but it is wrong. It is difficult to know whether some prophecies will come true, as there are issues of timing. Otherwise it’s obvious. For any reason, the prophet missed it. One of the young prophets named Jeremiah Johnson became famous because of his dreams and prophecies. Before the election, he had a dream of three things happening. The Los Angeles Dodgers first won the World Series. Second, Amy Connie Barrett will be appointed to the US Supreme Court, and finally Donald Trump will be re-elected in 2020.
When Trump was not re-elected, Johnson felt that the Lord had told him to publicly apologize for his wrong prophecy. He began by closing the Jeremiah Johnson ministry and moving to another state. I recently interviewed him on my Strang Report Podcast and he told me about all the hate emails and attacks he got when he did it. Believe it or not, it wasn’t a secular person who didn’t believe in Christian prophecies, nor was the radical leftist who was his harshest critic. Most of the Trump supporters of rabies who desperately wanted Trump to be re-elected to make it happen were Christians! Their attacks were not as bad as his prophecy was, but Johnson had turned his back on Trump.
As I said on my podcast with Johnson, I admire the humility he showed by apologizing. He is now experiencing a great blessing for it.
For now, I am calling on our leaders to “police” ourselves, as the New Testament says that enough is enough and Christian leaders should. Paul revised Peter when he was preaching a double standard about Gentile followers who needed to withstand Jewish laws rather than being free to Christ.
According to Matthew 18, it has come time to meet and discuss what leaders should do, such as confronting these false prophets. We must stand up to this attack by Satan of the Church. They must also bring us back on track and bring rebuke to the body of Christ. In fact, Christians doubt all prophecies. Mario Murillo spoke. Now I’m talking. Other leaders need to stand with us.
One of the most harmful things about false prophets is the lack of care from people in leadership, simply because a particular false prophet is not within their circle. We are not only invoking immorality within our own group of friends and denominations. When something needs to be fixed, it is our job to stand up to the right. We don’t want to be the ones who call these people, neither the government nor those who hate God. False prophets raise condemnation in the cause of Christ, and they make people skeptical of prophecy.
I have known Mario Murillo for a long time, but we have spoken several times about the issue of false prophecy and what to do in the body of Christ to confront this monster. I think my latest conversation about Strang Report Podcasts is just one of the most timely and important conversations we’ve had.
Distinguished spirits are important to determine whether something is from God or not. In an age where more and more false prophets are getting public voices, my biggest concern is that Christian leaders are not speaking out.
Murillo, a fantastic evangelist and servant of Christ, gave him a very honest and honest reasoning about why he believes that false prophets must be exposed now, and why Christians cannot turn their eyes on false prophecies that infiltrate the church.
“I believe that people are being destroyed by false prophets, and I believe that this wave we are now seeing deserves our undivided attention,” Murillo says. “It’s not to cause division. ‘Well, did you go to them first?” The answer is Jesus… We’re doing what the Bible says, what Jesus said, and what Paul said: Beware of false prophets. ”
So how can you know the difference between reality and fake? Mario says that God’s Word is the standard that we must use for every word we encounter and for prophets.
“Number one is God’s Word,” says Murillo. “We are in an age of illiteracy in the Bible, so we could simply read the Bible and see how far this person and how far he is.”
Murillo called Robin Brock and Kat Kerr in particular as false prophets.
“I think Robin Brock is a dangerous false prophet and a cult leader,” Murillo said. “He has all the purpose of it.”
Murillo said, “I believe this about Brock because Matthew 12:32, who says that anyone who speaks the word to the son of a man will be forgiven. Murillo says that Brock is placed at a higher standard than this poem.
“According to Robin Brock, if you oppose him, you’ll be insane,” Murillo said. “The problem is putting yourself on Christ by literally saying, “Everything you can be allowed to say bad about Jesus, but what’s bad about Robin Brock can lead you to insanity.” It’s not the Bible, it’s not the right, it’s an obvious example of error. ”
Mario and I also discussed Cat Kerr and her supposed vision of heaven. What I’m particularly concerned about her ministry is that people who knew her spoke recently and admitted she was bringing money from people who support her ministry. The only way that false prophets can stop speaking is to stop supporting them financially.
“Cat tells us everything she has experienced in heaven, but Paul doesn’t even admit that he is someone who has been caught up in the Third Heaven and has seen something that cannot be expressed,” Murillo mentioned two Corinthians 12:2.
We must remain vigilant to protect ourselves from false prophets, wolves in sheep’s clothes. Just because we live in an upside down world doesn’t mean we have to fall into that plan. Instead, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit and can walk the path of God’s truth and light. {eoa}
