Members of the Latter-day Saint Church of Jesus Christ are working hard on December 7, 2025 in their efforts to “light the world” the community building in La Paz, Bolivia.

In La Paz, Bolivia, 238 volunteers gathered at the Jose Soria Welcome Centre with gallons of paint, putty and other supplies to renovate the building on December 7th and 8th, 2024, and in Bolivia I’ve reported the newsroom.

In total, the volunteers brought in 61 gallons of paint, 40 pound putty, eight brushes, eight rollers and sandpaper to contribute to the project.

“As a stock in Miraflores, we follow the example of Jesus Christ, showing love, service and compassion at Jose Soria Foster Home during global initiatives,” President Vazquez said. “In partnership with our home leaders, we cleaned, painted and organized, reflecting his humility and willingness to serve the most vulnerable.”

During the activity, church members polished the walls and ceilings, painted baseboards, waxed wooden floors, removed worn carpets, painted and washed bathrooms and polished ceramic floors.

“Inspired by his unconditional love, the Relief Society sisters prepared a special gift for their children and we were grateful for the work of educators who embody the dedication and care of their little ones.” President Vazquez said. “This effort reaffirms our commitment to following His teachings by loving and serving others.”
