On Wednesday (February 5th), alleged Fulani herdsmen killed three Christians in Kaduna province.

The attackers killed one Christian in Majagada Binawa village in Kauru County early on Wednesday and two others in Fadhan Rumaya in the same county, local community leaders said.

The attack on Majagada Binawa on Wednesday (February 5) by “armed bandits” between 2am and 3:30am took the life of Mani Ali Maikomo, according to the Vinawa Development Association (BIDA) Chairman Istifanus Danjuma Makoshi made a press statement. He said five other people were accused of mainly Christian villages, he said: Dawda Danjuma Makosi, Kande Dawda Makosi, Village Matsuga Sale, Paul Musa. Gombe, Solomon Jonah Dangata Binawa, later fled but was injured.

“This act of violence is not an attack on the victims and their families, but an attack on the peace and stability of the entire Vinawa community,” Makosi said. “BIDA calls on the Kaduna State Government, security agencies and all relevant authorities to take urgent and decisive actions to ensure the immediate and safe release of those accused. This vicious Take the perpetrators of crimes to justice. It will increase the security presence of Vinawa and other vulnerable communities to prevent further attacks.”

Also, in the Galadimawa area of Fadhan Rumaya village, primarily Christian (February 5), “Banditz” killed Chef Umar and Philip Bald, and shots Vincent Danjuma, Francis Habila and Am Bawa. He was injured, community leaders said at a press conference. They identified five people as being lured with Shekalau Umar, Nathan Danjuma, Augustine Samuel, Rudaho Bawa and Christopher Sai.

“We suffered from yet another devastating attack by a bandit whose lives were lost, leaving many more injured,” they said. “We strongly condemn this heinous act, a blatant disregard for the human rights and safety of rural residents in our area. Our government listens to our lights. Have you heard? We demand urgent action and protection from our community!”

Regional resident Don Abam said that the Christian, who was killed in Majagada Vinawa, was killed by “Muslim bandits.”

“They also lured dozens of other Christian villagers,” Abam told the Christian Daily International Morning Star News in a text message. “The murder and lure by Muslim bandits has become a daily routine in the local government area of Kaur.”

Kauru Local Government Council Chairman Abel Habila Adamu confirmed the attack.

“The recent surge in violence and attacks in the region has led to the loss of lives, the movement of people and the destruction of property,” Adam said in a reporting statement. “As a community, we have tried to address these issues through our own initiatives, such as the neighborhood clock program and community policing. However, the situation has deteriorated and we have an immediate intervention from the relevant security agencies and the global community. It’s deteriorated to the point where it’s needed.”

Thousands of people were evacuated in the Chiefs of Kumana and Kaur, while others were killed in villages of Dokan Karji, Bandi, Rumaya, Kuwassam, Kaibi, Kushekah, Geshere and Binawa, he said.

“The case of acquiring innocent people in this area is surprising and unsaid,” he said. “Last Friday, a woman was killed by Kiffin Chawai, a donor, after paying the ransom as requested by the bandits. To address this issue, we told the government that if possible. , asking the Chiefs of Kaur and Kumana to establish two military bases, if possible for Dokan Karji and Kaibi. These military bases provide the presence of permanent security in the area, and It helps to stop attacks and provide a sense of security to local residents.

Previous attack

On January 30th, in Kaur County, the pastor also identified Rev. Ezekiel (ECWA) of the Evangelical Church and two other Christians as killed by bandits suspected of being stolen in the village of Kwassam, local sources said. I stated. Another 17 Christians were invited to Fadhan Ruma on Sunday (February 2nd).

Augustine Baye, director of the Baye Child Foundation, said in a statement at the press conference that Rev. Ezekiel was ambushed and killed by the “Bandits” and his body was found after a massive search by his family.

“The horrific murder of Pastor Ezekiel of Ekwa Church Quasam has shocked and mourned the community,” Bey said.

According to his wife, Rev. Ezekiel went to his farm to harvest crops when his vehicle engine ran out of fuel and harvested his farm.

“Tradically, he was attacked by bandits on his way home,” he said. “They pulled him away, cruelly killed him, and his motorcycle abandoned near the river. After two days of painful days, his brother, despite the danger, set out on a search, and the final moments were met. He found Pastor Ezekiel’s unvigorating body. The view was miserable. He had almost cut his head and had been killed.”

The tragedy left his widow and four young children without the means to support his school or daily needs, he said.

“The murder of Rev. Ezekiel is a devastating memory of the anxiety that plagues many communities in Kaduna, particularly the Kaur LGA,” Bey said. “It underscores the urgent need for improved security and support for families suffering from such losses, allowing them to rebuild their lives in the face of unimaginable tragedy.”

Nehemiah James, a local resident, is another resident of his area, called for urgent intervention to end the bloodshed by the Nigerian government.

“A once peaceful village was thrown into a state of panic and terror, with bandits taking over the community and terrified in the hearts of my beloved,” James texted the Christian Daily International. He told Morning Star News. “In recent months, the community has witnessed a surge in lures. Several residents, including the elderly, have been accused of bandits. People who are primarily farmers and traders now live in constant fear. I can’t go out to my daily activities without looking over my shoulder.”

Inducing the invitation also led to a decrease in income. This is because many people abandoned farms and businesses because they feared they would be accused of being accused of.

“Despite some reports to the authorities, the invitation continues unabated and people feel abandoned and helpless,” he said. “The lack of proper security in the area has encouraged bandits who are currently operating with immunity.”

Daniel Achi of the Kauru Regional Government Community Development Association said in a statement that “we continue to attack and invade our communities every day without fear.”

Achi said a Christian man was recently killed, another person was injured in Akansa village, and seven Christians were killed in Zakada village on January 31, and dozens were invited by bandits. .

Sunday, Senator from southern Kaduna, Marshall Katun told a parliamentary session that Banditz recently took over most of the communities in southern Kaduna. He called for immediate military intervention.

Nigeria has remained one of the most dangerous places on the planet for Christians, according to the 2025 World Watchlist of the countries where it is the hardest to be Christians. According to WWL, of the 4,476 Christians killed for faith around the world during the reporting period, 3,100 (69%) were in Nigeria.

“The scale of anti-Christian violence in this country is already at the highest possible level under the global watch list methodology,” the report states.

In the north-central zone of the country, where Christians are more common than they are in the northeast and northwest, Islamic extremist Fulani militias attack farming communities, killing hundreds of Christians and more than anything, hundreds of Christians . Jihadist groups such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State (ISWAP), a disparate group in West Africa, are also active in northern states in the country where federal government controls are poor and Christians and their communities continue to be targeted for attacks. . Sexual violence and the murder of disabilities, according to the report. Ransom aid has been increasing significantly in recent years.

The violence spreads across southern states, with new jihadist terrorist group Lakrawa appearing in the northwest, armed with sophisticated weapons and an extremist agenda, WWL noted. Lakrawa is affiliated with the expansionist al-Qaeda rebellion Jamaa Nusrat ul Islam Wa al-Muslimin, or Zinim, which is derived from Mali.

Nigeria ranked 7th in the 2025 WWL list of 50 worst countries for Christians.

With millions of figures in Nigeria and Sahel, Fulani, primarily Muslim, constitute hundreds of clans of many different lines that do not hold the views of extremists, but some Fulani are Extreme Islamist ideology, sticks to all British parties for international freedom. Convictions (APPG) as outlined in the 2020 report.

“They are clearly intent to adopt a comparable strategy for Boko Haram and Iswap and target strong symbols of Christian and Christian identity,” the AppG report said.

Nigerian Christian leaders forced Islam as herdsmen’s attacks on the Christian community in the middle zone of Nigeria forced Christian lands to take over Christian lands and made it difficult for desertification to maintain herds. He says he believes he is inspired by his desire to take over.
