Candace Cameron Bure and her husband of nearly 30 years, Valeri might have called it quits without the gospel-centered advice of one of her sons.
Her eldest son, Lev, was not married in 2020 when he married in 2020.
In a recent episode of her eponymous podcast, Bure, 49, said in 2020 that she would “go south soon” to her marriage to Valeri, 51. She explained that it was Lev who challenged the pair to reconcile and resolve the differences.

“At one point, it was Lev, Max, Natasha, but Lev was the one leading the fee,” she recalls. “He came to us and said, ‘We want to talk to you guys.’ Val and I sat down and preached a 45-minute sermon about our marriage.
“And I’ll never forget,” he said.
The great American media executive said he has “a gentle voice like this” and “so much wisdom” to share when Lev spoke to her and Valeri.
“He looked straight at us, and asked me individually, then asked Val, “Have you done everything you could? Are there any steps in grace, or are there a little more grace you can give? Is there another act of kindness that you can give to try to reconcile?”
The “Full House” star said the conversation with her three children was a “vital moment” in her marriage to former NHL player Valeri. It “really changed” the dynamics of their relationship with each other, she said.
Bure expressed his gratitude for her children’s boldness in their confrontation with them.
“There was a lot more to it, but your child sat you down and talked and she said, ‘Are you as mature as you can?” “I am very grateful to Lev, Max and Natasha. They were very supportive of everything.”
Lev married his current wife, Elliot Dunham, in January 2024.
“I am grateful for the generational blessings of a long-lasting Christ-centered marriage,” writes Bre in the caption celebrating her son’s marriage. “To have the legacy of great grandparents and grandparents who showed us the way, and now, as an example of our children and their children coming.”
