California Government Gavin Newsom (D) – The nephew of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) admits that men playing women’s sports are “deeply unfair.”
The 57-year-old politician commented on the debut episode of his new podcast, “This Is Gavin Newsom.” He spoke with the conservative and influential Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA.

Kirk urged Newsom, who President Donald Trump has laughed and called him a “news come.” He has the opportunity to “run to the centre” and “opportunity” by sounding an alarm within the Democrats for men identified as transgenders who participate in women’s sports teams.
“You come out now and say, ‘What do you know, a young man trying to win a state championship in the long jump in women’s sports, that shouldn’t happen,” Kirk said.
“I think it’s a matter of fairness,” Newsom replied. “I fully agree with you.”
A survey from the California Institute of Public Policy Research in February shows that the California governor now has a 52% approval rate among Golden State residents.
In their conversation, Kirk nurtured the case of Ab Hernandez, a California transgender-identified high school track star. Recently, he won a triple jump at an astonishing 8 feet.
Kirk asked Newsom if he was opposed to this young man, referring to Hernandez.
“I respect sports, so the issue of fairness is completely legal,” the governor replied. Furthermore, “these poor people are more likely to commit suicide, anxiety and depression, so there should be “humility and grace” that transgender people need to be extended to identified individuals. ”
Newsom described attacking knocks on the embrace of men and women of leftist politicians, one of Trump’s campaign ads that attacked former Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democratic candidate, for his support of “them/them.”
The governor described the ads highlighting the 2019 interview. Meanwhile, Harris denies that “every transgender inmate in the prison system needs the health care they want and need,” and blames the fact that she “didn’t respond to it” by calling the political left “devastating.”
Some hope that Newsom’s statement to Kirk will mark the tide of American culture, like Robert P. George, a conservative Christian scholar and professor at Princeton University.
“Now Gavin Newsom has raised the white flag of a man in women’s sports,” he wrote to X.
He continued. “This issue is not properly characterized as whether ‘transgender athletes’ can compete in women’s sports. It’s not about the spirit of an athlete. It’s about their sex. That’s not how they “identify.” It’s about whether they’re male or female. Women may compete in women’s sports regardless of how they “identify” or present themselves. Men may not participate in women’s sports. ”
