Looking back at my childhood, it was all very innocent. I remember every mom in our neighborhood. Housewives like June Cleaver are ready to leave to Beaver, dress up in a dress, and wear milk and cookies when they get home from school. lol. We didn’t have a phone, an iPad or Kindles, we didn’t have a great outdoors and our imagination. We all enjoyed the neighborhood games, including hidden patterns, kickballs, tags and follow leaders.

There is a time and place in life to “follow a leader,” and then there is a situation in which you do not follow the lead of others. Have you ever said I wanted something because someone else had it, or if I said, “Sally will come to do that,” my dad says, “Would you like to drive Sally off the bridge?” But seriously, before chasing leads, you need to identify the moral character and ethics of a leader.

As believers, we have a journey through life, a perfect leader and one to follow Christ Jesus. When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, he placed within us the Holy Spirit who would lead us all. In the Old Testament era, before Jesus, God led the Israelites out of Egypt in the clouds during the day, and at night he led the pillar of fire. “But God led people through the wilderness towards the Red Sea. And the people of Israel left the lands of Egypt, equipped for battle. The Lord may lead them in the middle of the day with a pillar of clouds, and set fire to the night and travel day and night. Exodus 13:18; 21-22 Before the arrival of Jesus, and after His death and resurrection, God will lead us and lead us into battle, but we must obey…

Let us guide us on our journey across earth, prepare us for the glory of heaven, and explore why it is so important for us to follow His lead.

It will keep us away from temptation

Pilgrim’s Progress is my husband’s favorite book. For those who don’t know the story, it continues from his journey to his journey. Along the way, he comes across many different characters whose names match the character’s characteristics. The names of those who seduced the pilgrims were Apolion, stubborn, flexible, chatty, legality, Beelzebub, and the Heartod Lord. The seduction of many pilgrims came in subtle ways. The pilgrim was seduced because of his weaknesses, especially when the road looked “easy.” I think this applies to Christians too. We succumb to temptation through desirability and debilitation.

As followers of Christ, we must be keen to keep an eye on Jesus, especially when things are going well for us. “Because God will help me, and therefore I will not be dishonored. I know I will not be embarrassed because I have placed my face like a flint.” Isaiah 50:7 The AI overview describes “my face like Flint” as “an unwavering commitment to resolved, unbeatable resolution and unwavering actions, even in the face of adversity and opposition.” When we commit to this resolve, our faith is not shaken and falls into temptation.

Let us follow the Lord’s lead so that temptation does not give way with us.

Protect us from harm

Some people have the tricks to do harm and find themselves. I don’t know if they’re an adrenaline addiction or just someone who thinks they have nine lives, but they made some really bad choices, but somehow escaped a catastrophic disaster, but not unharmed, they escaped a catastrophic disaster. I’m the complete opposite and probably too cautious.

What we need to remember is that the Lord will not only guide us through our earthly realms, but he will guide us through our spiritual realms. He sees the harm that could come to us spiritually and believes that if we do not remain in our words and be careful to constantly seek the Lord, we can succumb to it. Anything that turns from Christ to the worldly thing can spiritually hurt us. By backslide as Christians or setting poor example, we do harm to ourselves and the Lord’s testimony. We don’t want to be Christians with the knacks to do harm and find ourselves, but we want to be people who are passionate about Jesus. “As a submissive child, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance; but as he called you is holy, it is holy to everything you do.” 1 Peter 1:14-15

Let’s chase after the Lord’s lead and remain safe and protected by the shadows of our wings.

It prevents us from creating idols

Recently, Moses was in the mountains for a long time, so I read an exodus account of the Israelites being panicked. As a result, Aaron followed the Israelites’ lead, robbing all of their money and creating a golden calf for them to worship. When Moses descended the mountain with a tablet containing the ten commandments and saw what they had done, he broke them to pieces. He said, “I left you.”

For 10 minutes, this is what you do! “But our heavenly Father, we are truly anxious, but it means that we will chase after us forever.

Idol worship can take many forms, including fame, good fortune, worship. They may all feel good, but when they distract us from God, they become idolatry.

Some are not inherently bad, but when we are consumed by them, they become idols to us. These could be relationships, ministry jobs, or general careers.

When we first seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness… all this will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 When we pray before all decisions and choices, we follow God’s lead, honoring God alone, and not creating idols outside of His will.

Follow the Lord’s lead and worship God and God.

Set an example

The main purpose of that game was to go back to the childhood game of “following the leader” and mimic the leader in everything they did. In today’s world of social media and influencers, following non-faithful leads and mimicking their behavior is very appealing. Again, this can be a very subtle lead, but it still leads people to a more secular way.

When we were born again, we became the new creation of Christ Jesus. Therefore, we are called to walk through the new man following the Lord’s lead over all things. “Anyone who wants to be my disciple, deny himself, take the cross every day, and follow me,” Luke 9:23. Jesus sets the perfect example for life and life. But this does not happen.

To follow the lead of Christ, you need to know about him. The only way to know him is to become a word every day, become his student, and be in a relationship with him. The Holy Spirit brings these things to your memory, conviction, encouragement and encouragement.

Let us chase after the Lord’s lead by spending time in words every day and emulating Jesus with everything we say and do.

How can you follow God’s lead in your own situation?

Are there any areas of influence you shouldn’t follow in your life?

Lord, help me to know you in perfect condition so that I can naturally follow your lead and lead others to you in the name of Jesus.
