The first presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has officially announced the 195th Annual General Meeting and five general sessions on Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6.
“The general conference provides an opportunity for general church leaders to receive personal revelation as they provide advice and direction from the Lord,” said the March 6th presidential letter signed by President Russell M. Nelson and his counselors, President Darrin H. Oaks and President Henry B. Eyring. “We encourage everyone to listen, study, reflect and apply to the lawyers they have been given.”
All individuals, family and friends were invited to listen to the first presidency and quorum members of the 12 Apostles and other general authorities and general officers of the Church, and the announcement and accompanying information were sent to leaders of local stocks, districts, districts and branches.
This letter, read at the Sacramental Conference, was also published on churchofjesuschrist.org.
The five general sessions for the April 2025 General Meeting are planned for two hours on Saturdays, afternoons, 10am, 10pm, 2pm, 6pm, and Sundays at 10am, 2pm, 2pm, 2pm and 2pm (all daylight hours).
The letter said decisions regarding gatherings to watch general conference sessions at the meeting hall are left to the discretion of local leaders. He also noted that the general meeting message would be published in the Gospel Library app, Churchofjesuschrist.org, and in the Church magazines for further viewing and research.
The letter included multiple pages, including viewing times, information from stake technology experts, time for satellite and live streams, channel location, languages available, and other streaming options such as television and radio.
