Those suffering as a result of unnecessary same-sex attraction and gender confusion should be allowed to seek professional help, and the church hopes them rather than telling them to be single for the rest of their lives. International gatherings have heard that a message must be provided.

Last weekend, more than 140 Christian therapists from around the world gathered in Poland to consider whether or not many countries are banning or banning so-called “conversion therapy.” and strategies have been developed on how to help people who are struggling with their actions.

IFTCC rejects the term “conversion therapy” and instead uses “change therapy.” It defends individuals seeking expert help in leaving unwanted relationships and sexual behaviors behind in accordance with their own hopes and life goals, and allows only positive therapy, allowing individuals to vent this freedom. They claim they are being taken away.

In a statement that began Friday, Dr. Mike Davidson, chairman of the International Foundation for Choice of Treatment Counseling (IFTCC), which held the conference, said, “We need to be involved in the church’s general discourse on singleness and transformation.” It was there.”

His comments relate to the position of the Church Section, who believes that the Church Section is both Christian and gay as well as gay, but by committing to lifelong singleness, He remained true to the Bible’s teachings about marriage and sexuality.

Davidson suggested that a better message is to communicate that people living with unnecessary same-sex attractions “there are options.”

“If we say (we) have no choice but to present ourselves as single people – in other words, this is my reality and this is where I am in the rest of the place. My life – I think it’s a concern,” he said.

“If you tell a 13-year-old boy that he hasn’t been running away, I don’t think he’s doing anything fair.”

Davidson says Christian therapists need to be prepared to help people of all faiths and have a sense of compassion and kindness, creating a “safe space” for them. I said it was necessary.

“They may not have found Christ yet, but we have not closed their doors, and we will give them wherever we are, in any part of the world we are involved in. We must stand up,” he said, adding that the church must be standing up not only for the gospel, but for the human race.”

In a pre-recorded panel discussion, author and former lesbian Dr. Rosalia Butterfield said that on the issue, Christians are also involved in the political level and “are willing to stick our necks out.” .

“The reason Christians are now culturally and politically gradual is because we weren’t prepared to protect the gospel on a natural level,” she said.

“We were ready to talk about all sorts of other things, but we weren’t prepared to say that God created men and women… At least not Protestants.”

Speaking late in the evening, Dr. Felix Ballman, a lawyer with Alliance Defending Freedom International (ADF), says that as parental rights are increasingly threatened, Christians in Western countries are proactive if they want to see meaningful changes. He said that he needs to take a position. Regain the authority of your parents. ”

“My experience is enough to be there sometimes and get up,” he said. “If you want to know why things are like they are now, it’s precisely because proponents of a very different worldview have done exactly the same thing. They show up, they’re the organizers of the community, they’re people. We mobilized. Did we do that?”

He urged Christians to join school boards and parent and teacher associations, and to be part of the discussion about how schools run.

“If we want change, we need to be there,” he said.

On the first day of the meeting, we also heard about the situation in which counselling minors with unnecessary same-sex attraction and gender confusion in the United States is being banned in more than 20 US states.

Doctor. Mercy Connors and Shana Anderson of the American Christian Counselors Association have launched a campaign to introduce conscience clauses that allow Christian therapists to practice in line with beliefs similar to the freedom of conscience already enjoyed by healthcare. Experts who spoke to the meeting about their work, leading the campaign. But Anderson expressed fear that things could get worse before they get better.

“We could face an existential disappearance of our profession,” she said.
