1. Make your home a sanctuary
“Our sacred responsibility is to create in our homes a sanctuary, a refuge from the storms of life. We do this actively and passionately filling the hearts and minds of our children with so much light, truth, and goodness that there is no room for the darkness of the world.”
— Teaching Children at Home and in Church, January 4, 2026
2. “The Lord will use you.”
“As you keep the commandments and courageously testify of Jesus Christ, you can be confident that the Lord will use you as a powerful instrument in His work.”
— Dedication at Provo Missionary Training Center, December 2, 2025
3. Make and keep sacred covenants

“Dear friends, the greatest gift you can give to the world, to your children, to your families, to your communities, is to keep your covenants. If you want to navigate the challenges of our time and be a light to others, a light on the hill that cannot be hidden, make and keep sacred covenants and follow the counsel of living prophets.”
— Nauvoo Mega Conference for Single Adults in Nauvoo, Illinois, September 18, 2025
4. Join a cause that builds society.

“My immediate invitation to you is to join the cause of building, the cause of creating. There are too many people in this world bent on destroying. Choose to create and build something big. If you want to find true joy in life, be a creator and builder with your words and actions.”
— Cornell University Campus Forum, October 8, 2025
5. “Family Declaration”
“This Revelation document emphasizes the fundamental importance of marriage and children, and especially how fundamental they are to the plan of salvation, God’s plan of happiness.”
— Conference on Family Manifesto at Brigham Young University, September 25, 2025
6. Successful Missionary
“My young friends, a successful missionary is not one who perfectly executes a predetermined missionary experience. A successful missionary is one who strives to demonstrate the Christlike attributes found in chapter 6 of Preach My Gospel.”
— Meeting with missionaries in central Europe, September 2025
7. Rededicate your life to Jesus Christ

“Mission is a sacred microcosm for change, an opportunity for young men and women to give their lives more fully to Jesus Christ in a uniquely deeply personal way.”
— 2025 Seminar for New Mission Leaders, June 19, 2025
8. The gospel of becoming
“The gospel of Jesus Christ is the gospel of becoming. Now that you have done your best, Preach My Gospel tells you that you may still be disappointed, but you are not disappointed in yourself. When you feel the Spirit working through you, you can be sure that the Lord is pleased with your efforts.”
— Dedication at Provo Missionary Training Center, April 8, 2025
9. Become a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ

“Lifelong discipleship of Jesus Christ begins in our homes and in Primary at 18 months of age. We want our children to believe in Jesus Christ, belong to Jesus Christ and His Church through the covenants, and strive to become like Jesus Christ.”
— “You Are the Christ” April 2025 General Conference
