Darkness is brewed in Kansas, but “God-Fearing Americans” are rising to fulfill it with prayer, faith and unwavering conviction.

Later this month, the Devil’s Cave will retain “black mass” at the Kansas State Capitol. This is an event intended to “dedicate grounds and parliament to the glory of Satan.”

The very thoughts about it are in the way, but Christians across the country are sitting sloppy, not standing up.

As reported by Christian Post, the TFP Student Action was a petitioned by a group belonging to the American Traditions, Family and Property Defense Association, organising a counter argument on March 28th in Topeka.

Their petition has earned over 83,000 signatures to stop what they call “a blasphemous parody of the Catholic masses.” TFP spokesman John Paul Fabrizio revealed the overwhelming response.

This is not just a political or cultural battle, it is a spiritual battle.

The enemy is not flesh or blood, but the power of darkness works to deceive, corrupt and ultimately destroy them (Ephesians 6:12).

The fact that this event is surrounded as protests in favour of abortion rights only intensifies the deeper issues of play: blatant attacks on life, truth, and righteousness. But despite the darkness, we must not lose sight of our mission.

The goal is not just to stop this incident. It is to see the very people involved who are transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ.

It may sound unthinkable, but what if a very Satanist planning this ock laugh in God’s name repents and turns to Christ? The apostle Paul himself was once a Christian persecutor before his fundamental encounter with Jesus. God is still in the soul-saving business, and as Christians, we must not only oppose the evil of this event, but pray for the salvation of those who participate in it.

The good news is that Christians are not standing up silently. On the same day as the Devil’s event, TFP secured permission for the Rosary Rally at the southern entrance of Capitol. There, we expect hundreds of followers to participate in prayer. “We’re joined by God-fearing Americans from all over the country,” Fabrizio said. “Kansas isn’t the only protest, it’s a battle for the soul of America.”

And he’s right. This is bigger than Kansas. It is about whether we as a nation succumb to the forces of darkness or stand firm in light of Christ. The battle is real, but so is Jesus’ victory.

In the face of evil, let us remember who we serve, the king. May this event serve not as a victory in the dark, but as a catalyst for the resurrection, awakening the followers and standing boldly for the truth, and ultimately leading the lost soul into the arms of the Savior.
