About a year ago, I was sitting in the office that the oncologist told my husband after three fights with cancer. I sat there and thought about how the patient never has the burden of healing illness, and how it is not even on the doctor, but it is always on God.
The burden of healing rests on my God. God knows my plans even when my hopes collapse around me. The burden of healing lies with my God, and the way it is not a formula of faith, but a mystery. The burden of healing does not lie about saying the right words or praying for something that sounds beautiful. And I don’t know you, but it frees me to pray a little more boldly to heal God.

10 Prayers for Healing
Prayer is a powerful source of healing and comfort when dealing with physical and emotional pain. Whether you are praying for yourself or someone else, it is essential to remember that there are many forms of healing. Your prayers may be for the physical healing of a particular illness, or it may be for emotional healing from loss or trauma. It may also be for spiritual healing from a crisis of faith. No matter what healing you pray, it is important to focus on faith and trust that God can heal and restore. Seek God’s guidance and strength and comfort you know that you are never alone in your struggle. Anything is possible with prayer.
If you or your loved one is sick and need healing, whether it is physical, mental or emotional healing, here is the prayer you can pray for them today:
Prayers to heal sick family and friends
Lord Jesus, thank you for your love (the name of someone who needs healing). I know you hate what their illness is doing to them/me. I ask in the name of Jesus that you will heal this disease, and you will be considerate and bring healing from all illnesses.
Your words will be in Psalm sal 107:19-20, when we speak to you, you will say that you are eternal, and you will give order, heal, and save us from certain death. In the Bible, I read miraculous healing, and I believe you will heal the same way today. I seek your healing in this situation, as I believe there are no diseases that you cannot heal after the Bible speaks about raising people from the dead.
I also know from my experiences in life on earth that if it happened here, no one is healed.
Lord Jesus, I am grateful that our hope for healing is within you. If there is a doctor or treatment you want to use to heal this disease, I pray that you will guide them (the name of the person who needs healing). I seek wisdom and identification as to which treatments to pursue.
God, I am grateful that (the name of someone who needs healing) is yours and that you control everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh.
Amen.

Our God healed all illnesses with just the word and healed Peter’s relatives.
Lord, I can put aside all illnesses and frailties, and give assistance to your servant (name), and he can cure him (her) of all illnesses that he (her) is grieving. Lift him out of his (her) bed of pain and send him (her) if it is your great mercy.
You are the doctor of our souls and bodies, and we send you glory: to the Father and Son, to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and age. Amen.
Healing pain and suffering
I seek your healing in every part of my life – physically, emotionally, mentally, mentally. I ask that you will make me strong and resilient for the next few days. I know you have a big purpose for those who believe in your name.
Help me not allow my daily distractions and hardships to overwhelm me to the point of exhaustion. I know that your wishes are to live this life richly and freely. And my greatest wish is to reflect your love and light into a world that desperately needs your hopes.
For those I love facing cancer or difficult diagnosis, I pray for your healing and blessing cover. I pray for your strength and your great peace to fill their lives, reminding them that you are near. There is nothing impossible for you. You are fighting for us and you thank this world is bigger than what casts our path.
I am completely leaning towards your Lord, as I can only you. I love you; I need you this day and always.
